Ministers
Responds to Allegations of Visa Irregularities
Remarks concerning the
issuance of visas by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs made by Mr. Carl
Bethel at the convention of the Free National Movement this week are a
retread of well worn allegations which were answered by the Ministry at
the time they were originally made by the Free National Movement.
The
points made at the time were that the Minister does not make decisions
about visas; there has not been a change in policy on the issuance of
visas and an invitation was offered to the Free National Movement and
its spokesman and is now renewed to Mr. Carl Bethel that if they are
aware of any criminal improprieties they should report those matters
directly to the police.
