TCI Governor, Chief Minister visit Bahamas

Governor of The Turks and Caicos Islands, His Excellency Richard Tauwhare, is leading a delegation on an official visit to The Bahamas.

Turks and Caicos Islands Chief Minister, the Hon. Michael Misick, is also part of the nine-member contingent, which arrived in Nassau Tuesday 14th March and is scheduled to depart Thursday 16th March.

While in The Bahamas, His Excellency, the Governor and Chief Minister will call on several Government officials, including Governor General, His Excellency Arthur Hanna, Prime Minister, The Rt. Hon Perry Christie, Deputy Prime, Minister and National Security Minister, the Hon. Cynthia Pratt, Foreign Minister, The Hon. Fred Mitchell, Immigration Minister, the Hon. Shane Gibson and Opposition Leader, The Rt. Hon. Hubert Ingraham.

The delegation will also make courtesy calls on Ambassador of the Republic of Haiti to The Bahamas, His Excellency Louis Harold Joseph, and Ambassador of The United States of America to The Bahamas, His Excellency John D. Rood as well as Honorary Consul of the United Kingdom to The Bahamas, Mr. Peter Young.
