SOUTH AFRICAN DIPLOMAT VISITS THE BAHAMAS

December 7, 2004

His Excellency Thanduyise Henry Chiliza, High Commissioner to all Caricom States and Ambassador to Haiti, recently toured the island of Grand Bahama, to get a first hand view of the destruction caused by Hurricanes Jeanne and Francis, and the restoration work underway.   While here Mr. Chiliza took time out to check on the growth of a Lignum Vitae Tree planted by South African President the Honourable Thaba Mbeki during an official visit here last year.
