December 7, 2004
His Excellency Thanduyise Henry Chiliza, High
Commissioner to all Caricom States and Ambassador to Haiti, recently
toured the island of Grand Bahama, to get a first hand view of the
destruction caused by Hurricanes Jeanne and Francis, and the restoration
work underway. While here Mr. Chiliza took time out to check
on the growth of a Lignum Vitae Tree planted by South African President
the Honourable Thaba Mbeki during an official visit here last year.

Pictured left to right in the photo are: Mr. Alexander Williams, Sr.
Administrator for the City of Freeport; Mr. Chiliza; Mr. Charles King,
Sr. Administrator for West Grand Bahama, and Superintendent of Police,
Mr. Basil Rahming.
