Technical
Cooperation Agreement: Bahamas
and Peru
The
Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Peru, Mr. Allan Wagner,
will make an official visit to The Bahamas from October 3rd
- 5th October, 2003, on October 5, 2003 Mr.
Wagner will meet with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Honourable
Fred Mitchell, to sign an Agreement on Technical and Scientific
Cooperation between the governments of The Commonwealth of The
Bahamas and the Republic of Peru, which have enjoyed diplomatic
relations since 1985.
The
provisions of the Agreement call for cooperation in a number of areas
including tourism, agriculture, fisheries, education, culture and
scientific and technological research by way of exchange of advised and
professional experts, the granting of scholarships for technical
education and the organization of relevant workshops, seminars and
conferences as mutually agreed by the two countries.
