PASSPORT OFFICE OVERTIME PAID AS USUAL

In response to an article in The Nassau Guardian of Monday 27th November, 2006, captioned ?Passport office faces strike threat? the Ministry of Foreign Affairs notes that any overtime worked during the course of the quarter ending 31st September, 2006 will be paid as is normal on the regular Government payday for November.

There is in fact no irregularity in payment as suggested by the newspaper?s ?source? for the article.  There is therefore, no apparent basis for the threat of industrial action.
