The Ministry announces that applications for the
Organization of American States (OAS) fellowships at the Graduate
and Undergraduate levels are now being accepted in the following
fields of study related to the OAS priority development areas:
Social Development and the creation of productive employment,
Education, Economic diversification and integration, trade
liberalization and market access, Scientific development and
exchange & transfer of Technology, Strengthening of democratic
institutions, Sustainable development of tourism, Sustainable
development and the environment, and Culture.
Candidates are required to be citizens or
permanent residents in OAS member states with a minimum GPA of
3.00, consistently for two or three years of studies.
Applications can be obtained from the Ministry of
Foreign Affairs, East Hill Street, or from the OAS website
www.oas.org. Applications from the
OAS website should be electronically completed and printed out, or
downloaded and filled in typewritten format. All application forms
are to be submitted in triplicate to the attention of
the National Liaison Officer, Ministry of Foreign Affairs. No
handwritten applications will be accepted. The deadline for receipt
of application forms in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is
February 28th, 2007.
