OAS SCHOLARSHIPS
GRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
These scholarships are offered for study towards a Master’s or
Doctorate degree, and may be used for research. They are awarded for
an initial period of one year and may be extended for up to one
additional year if funds remain available and if the extension is
necessary to complete the program of study or research. OAS
scholarships are not offered for studies in the medical sciences.
There are two modalities:
1) Self-Placed scholarships permit the
candidate to obtain or seek admission directly to the university or
college of choice where he or she intends to pursue graduate studies
or research. The candidate applies separately to the OAS for
financial assistance for the studies. The deadline for this program
is 31st January.
2) Agency-Placed scholarships permit
candidates to apply to the OAS only for a scholarship, without
admission to an institute. The OAS seeks admission for the
candidates in reputable institutions, taking into account their
preferred areas of study, program, and country. Deadline is 31st
January.
