Mrs. Bernadette Christie Launch Ship in Tianjin, 
The People Republic of China  

Mrs. Bernadette Christie, the wife of the Prime Minister of The Commonwealth of The Bahamas The Hon. Perry G. Christie, has accepted the invitation by Mr. Leslie J. Fernandes, the President of Dockendale Shipping Company Limited to christen the latest ship which will be added to The Bahamas' ship registry. 

The Launching will take place in Tianjin, The Peoples Republic of China on Thursday 27th November, 2003. Mrs. Christie will name the ship D S Vanguard which will be the Thirty-second ship owed by Dockendale Shipping Company Limited to be added to The Bahamas Register of Ships.

The D S Vanguard is the Sixth (6) and final ship of the Valiant Series designed by Algoship Designers Limited and built and built at Xingang Shipyard, Tianjin. The construction was supervised by G. T. R. Campbell Marine Consultants Limited. Both companies maintain corporate office in Nassau.

Dockendale Shipping Company Limited has its Corporate Offices at Dockendale House, West Bay Nassau and is one of three Shipping Companies with Corporate Offices in New Providence.
