Mitchell to lead delegation to European Development Fund Seminar

Foreign Minister the Hon. Fred Mitchell will lead a four-man delegation to the Dominican Republic on Wednesday, 4th April for the Regional Seminar of the 10th European Development Fund (EDF). 

The aim of the seminar is to determine jointly with Caribbean ACP (African, Caribbean and Pacific Group of States) states and with the Caribbean Forum of African Caribbean and Pacific States (CARIFORUM), the strategic development orientations that will guide the programming of the 10th EDF financial protocol both on a national and regional level.  

Joining Mr. Mitchell for the seminar will be The Bahamas High Commissioner to CARICOM, H. E. Leonard Archer, His Excellency Dr. Eugene  Newry, Ambassador to Haiti and Ministry of Foreign Affairs Deputy Director of Economics and Planning, Hugh Chase.  

Mr. Mitchell will depart the Dominican Republic on the 7th April while the remainder of the delegation will leave the following day.
