MINISTRY MONITORING EFFECTS OF KATRINA

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs advises for public information that it is monitoring the situation in the southern United States with regard to the passage of hurricane Katrina and its possible effects on Bahamians and Bahamian interests in those areas.

For any specific instances that may require the assistance of the Ministry in the affected areas which may arise after the passage of the storm, the public is advised to contact either Ms. Marilyn Zonicle, Acting Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Nassau or Ms. Alma Adams, Consul General in Miami with responsibility for the states of Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama.
