The High Commissioner Designate of The Republic of India pays an Official Visit to The Bahamas

His Excellency, Kailash Lal Agrawal, High Commissioner Designate of The Republic of India, will be paying an official visit to The Bahamas from the 22nd to 26th August 2005. 

On Wednesday, 24 August, he will call on the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Public Service, the Honourable Fred Mitchell and Dr. Patricia Rodgers, Permanent Secretary, of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

An official ceremony will take place at Government House on Thursday, 25 August, when His Excellency will present his Letters of Commission to Her Excellency Dame Ivy Dumont, D.C.M.G., Governor-General of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas. Immediately following the ceremony the Governor-General will host a luncheon in honour of the High Commissioner.

During his visit, the High Commissioner will also pay courtesy calls on His Excellency Louis Harold Joseph, Ambassador of the Republic of Haiti (and Dean of the Diplomatic Corps); and His Excellency Li Yuanming, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China.

On 25 August, before his departure, His Excellency will make his last call on the Hon. Leslie O. Miller, Minister of Trade and Industry.
