GOVERNOR-GENERAL HOSTS PUBLIC OFFICERS TO LUNCHEON

Their Excellencies Dame Ivy Dumont, DCMG, Governor-General and Mr. Reginald Dumont hosted Under Secretaries and Deputy Permanent Secretaries of the Bahamas Public Service to a luncheon at Government House today. This is the second year that this event has been held.

The Governor-General thanked the public servants for their untiring contributions to the continued development of a comfortable, safe and professionally run country.

In response, Mr. David Cates, Deputy Permanent Secretary in the National Emergency Management Agency and also President of The Bahamas Historical Society, gave a brief review of the history of Governors in The Bahamas; and thanked Dame Ivy for her kind invitation to join her at lunch.
