China Celebrates 56th Anniversary 

Last evening, 30 October, His Excellency Li Yuanming, the Chinese Ambassador, hosted a reception at the Sandals Royal Bahamian Hotel in Nassau, on the occasion of the 56^th Anniversary of the Founding of the People’s Republic of China.  

Remarks and toasts were made by Ambassador Li, the Honourable  Fred Mitchell, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Her Excellency Dame Ivy Dumont, Governor-General. 

 Music and dance performances were rendered by the Government High School Band, who were presented with a cash donation by the Ambassador to upgrade their musical equipment.
