APPOINTMENT OF NEW US AMBASSADOR
August 26, 2004
His Excellency, John D. Rood, Ambassador Designate
of the United States of America to the Commonwealth of The Bahamas,
arrived in The Bahamas on Monday, 23 August, 2004, to begin his tour of
duty; and paid a courtesy call on the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the
Hon. Fred Mitchell and officers of the Ministry on 25 August.
On 31August, he will call on the Haitian
Ambassador, H.E. Harold Joseph, the British High Commissioner, H.E.
Roderick Gemmell and the Chinese Chargé d’Affaires a.i., Mr. Ni
Boheng.
He will
present his Letters of Credence to Her Excellency Dame Ivy Dumont,
Governor-General, on Thursday, 2nd , September, 2004
