AMBASSADOR JIAO SAYS GOODBYE

November 1, 2004

His Excellency Jiao Dongcun, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to the Commonwealth of The Bahamas, made a farewell courtesy call on the Right Honourable Perry G. Christie, Prime Minister of The Bahamas, today at 10:30 a.m., at the Office of the Prime Minister in Cable Beach.

Later in the day, he paid a courtesy call on the Honourable Fred Mitchell, Minister of Foreign Affairs, before going on to a Farewell Reception at the Buena Vista Hotel, given in his honour by the Minister of Foreign Affairs.

During the course of the week, the Ambassador will call on the members of the Resident Diplomatic Corps; and on Thursday, 4th November, he will call on Her Excellency Dame Ivy Dumont, Governor-General of The Bahamas, to take leave.

 He departs The Bahamas the following day.
